    I have recently put a 70cc kit and Leo vince on my piaggio Nrg mc3;

I had a 58 jet in and it idled good and would pull away like a rocket then drop revs so it barely went, Iv just put a 68 jet in and it barely starts and when it does it won't idle and cuts out when I try a tiny bit of revs!!

Is there a ball park mixture and idle screw setting that would help me out???

    Cheers
    Mick

With a pipe it should have around a 60-62 jet in. I have a 64 but im running rich. So you need to upjet for the 70 kit but not sure how much more to upjet for the 70.
The mixture screw should be around 2 an a half turns out.

Have you fitted new rollers for the 70kit an are you using an airbox?

upjet by about 15% for a 70cc kit, so put a 71 maybe more on it

i dont know about the rollers i had a fiddle with the screws today and got it runnin it was better than when the 58 jet was in reckon i just need to tweak it and get it check to make sure it is efficient

do i just weigh one roller to determine the weight?

    standard airbox
    new plug
    fresh petrol
    fresh oil
carb cleaned from top to bottom including all jets and stuff

    cheers for the advice

    i gt a nrg extreme basicly same bike n ive got a 70s / wack a 70 - 75 jet in mines on a 75
n the reason y your ped wouldnt start when u put a 68 in is because when you swop jets all the petrol comes out the carb so when u put it back on n try n start it theres no petrol goin in the engine give it bout ten kicks with choke up n itl start fine

Ok 75 it is then, the lad at the shop said a 68 would do

I had a mess on with it got it started and running round the block and still isn't really fast I'm tryin to see how it reacts to full throttle also trying to run it in

It doesn't take well to full throttle by the way it bogs out maybe jet is too small???
