Hi, My Piaggio NRG 2001, which i have owned since 2004, and have done very little to it, has started to boil it's battery fluid, on journeys over 4 miles at full chat! I have been told it could be the rectifier, but need confirmation from people who know. So, 2 questions: 1) whats causing the battery fluid to boil 2) if it is the rectifier..............where is it? Mines used to do it i had battery acid every where but didnt fancy messing about with electrics so i made a tube and ran it down my frame to the bottom of my bike near my petrol overflow tube so it didnt go all over my bike
Thanks for your input. Certainly, the regular pipe is a little short, and the acid does drip onto the transmission casing, and ruin the paint work, but i'd rather rectify the problem, rather than just steer around it.
