NRG 49cc Change of jets

    Hello i have a piaggio NRG 49CC sport series with a racing exhaust, i bought a polini racing air filter yesterday but the revs wont budge past 7 thousand, any help plz , i think its the jets if it is could someone please post some info :) thanks

    your better off with the standard airbox, you wont have any gains except fuel consumption increase

    but if you do want to use it anyway youl need to upjet it afew sizes

    ok thanks i would like to upjet it, because i will be adding more performance parts, could anyone give me advice on how to access the Jets and to remove the carb, thanks

    just put the airbox back until you get more parts then?
    remove the float chamber (bottom of the carb) and its the big jet n the center, remove it with a socket or flat blade screwdriver

    cheers mate is it hard to access the bottom, do i have to remove the whole carb to get to it ?

    Its not essential to fully remove the carb. I find it easiest open the seat and remove the inspection panel. Then remove the airbox and the hose that goes to the carb. Then remove the intake manifold off the crankcase and you usually have enough movement to get to the bottom of the carb just make sure you do not damage or stretch the throttle cable as when you turn it on it may throttle lock. Hope this helps

    ive got a 07 nrg L/C with a technigas exhaust and i changed the foam filter to a polini one and i have a athena cdi unit but i need to upjet because i cant give it full throttle or it bogs and only does about 50 mph i know how to do it but what size should i go to ?????? plz help

    You're going to be in the 100+range. Totally pointless. You're going to be using a 118 range.
