my nrg 172 has probklem starting it takes up to 30mins to start ive changed the spark plug and cleaned the carb but stil same ting but afta that it starts.
reeds, shit inside the idle jet/past there (builds up deep in the carb, clean isnt always CLEAN) check the cdi connections/stator (ether change for known working items or test via the book, the cdi isnt checkable in any way other than trying it tho) could be a loose/missing earth strap (usual) could be poor wiring (again, usual, its an nrg172) unplug the loom, earth the engine to the frame and attach the cdi. if you get a good blue spark it usually means the electrical side of things is working. if its dull and orange then somthing here is at fault. few things to check anyway.. could just be a tired old engine tho..
