without a gearup your revving higher for lower speeds wich means more engine/crank wear.

marginal gains, if you want the power back your gonna loose to the gear up gimmi a pm as i can get a couple horses out of a 172 without loosing any life/reliability..

see i dont understand that because my gilera runner with a gear up kit reved alot higher then it did with 125 gears? example....
with 125 gears my biked revved at 5000rpm at 30mph and 6000rpm at 45mph and then with the gear up kit at 5000rpm my bike didnt even pull off.... then at 6000rpm it did 30mph... so basicly at lower speed my bike reved alot more... it was only untill 7500rpm is when the gear up made a difference

thats down to rollers.. revs out the window, putting a gear up in a bike is swapping 30% of your accell for 30% more top end.
