i know its not a scoot but the principles the same. fitted a new stator,points,condenser and ignition coil to my 2 stroke kawasaki.its all timed corrcetly,points gapped and power going to the ignition coil. i put a plug tester on the ht lead, lights up like a christmas tree, but if you try and hold a spark plug to the cylinder head nothing no spark accross the gap ive tried 11 different plugs that i had in the van all new and still nothing. Any one have any clues? thanks
i thought that so i tried earthing the plug to everything, frame,engine, battery, stator plate still no joy. i even loosen a head bolt put some cable between the washers clamp it down and tried touching that to the frame to make a earth. if i touch a plug to the block with the inline tester on it the light is very dim but with out the plug is really bright.
