ive got a piaggio diesis 100 (85cc 2stroke), now the only performance parts they sell for are stickers its not the slowest scoot in the world hits 60 just so i had a look through me garage last night and found a spare carb for me ke 125. now would a mikuni 24mm flatside carb be an improvement over the 17.5mm dellorto if i can make it fit? or would it be abit too big for the 85cc?
thanks for the reply i looked that engine up already and they are different. its a real PITA to get parts for, it keeps up just with some 4t 125 scoots when you scream its nuts off but i just know more can be gained from this engine . i phoned up piaggio/derbi uk and they just said we dont have a fucking clue ive looked everywhere for a bore kit that might be a close enough match to possibly work? machine to fit. heres a link to a diagram of the cylinder head: http://www.piaggiospares.co.uk/spar...s+100+Crankshaft-cylinder-head-silencer&uID=0 i hope the bore doesnt go £550 for new one!!!!
24mm is spot on for mid race 70cc but they rev high, how high is the rpm band on the bike. i would this low revving high torque? but ever way 24mm is not too big. would just be an ass to set up
like i said, looks like the typh 80 engine, an oversized 50 (longer stroke/conrod and bigger bore) get a pic of the engine up.. ill be able to tell you your options once i see the lump/exactly what type it is
