Hello, I've got a 2005 aerox. The bike only goes 45 but got a few mods that should be making it go quicker than it is. It's got a s6 pro rep exhaust, pollini variator, 3.5g rollers, adjustable clutch, malossi belt, open air filter and been up jetted. What could be wrong? Thanks
Is the exhaust derestricted? My bike goes 45 and I have only took out the engine restrictors so something must be restricting your power
Hi I'd have the cylinder off it and check that the exhaust port is not full of calamine. Then I'd take a dremel and attack the exhaust port - making it less like a tent and more like a decent oval shape. Then I'd raise the height of the port by 1 mm. Then I'd chamfer all the ports, give it a hone and put new rings on the piston. If you are not pressed - and you are willing to pay postage - I can do this for you. However - it's only slightly more expensive to get a Top perf 50 cast iron cylinder - or something from stage 6, Metrakit, Malossi .... which will amount to the same thing. http://www.maxiscoot.com/cylindre-c...ophy-fonte-50cc-mbk-nitro-aerox-t9931110.html http://www.maxiscoot.com/cylindre-metrakit-50cc-fonte-mbk-nitro-aerox-mk804a0510.html http://www.maxiscoot.com/malossi-kit-cylindre-50cc-sport-fonte-m318556.html
Ok thanks, I'll probs get a 70cc kit soon, how much do I up jet it if I was to get one with the mods I already got?
Put the standard airbox back on for time being, open filters do nothing but cut your power on anything less than a race setup.
Well - they are also a kind of insurance against damage from a filter coming off etc - because there is virtually no filter - but you are going to consume petrol like it's going out of fashion......
It's not that bad on fuel, could be better but I don't mind how it is atm, how much difference does it make if my rollers are too small? Not lighter, actually smaller.
It makes a surprising difference I imagine ! That's the noise you hear (them rattlin' around in the variator) and the thing isn't opening up properly. Jeez.... Problem solved.
Nah I can't hear them rattling and I didn't know it had a new variator (bought it like it is) so I just bought standard rollers and only noticed the next time I took them out that they didn't fit snug
