Im seeing a few posts from people who are having trouble starting their bikes and they all say the same thing.. "i havent used my bike over christmas and now it wont start" or "i havent used my bike during the winter and not it wont start"

before you post here that your bike isnt starting or starts and then cuts out a few seconds later it might be because the petrol in your fuel tank, fuel lines and in your carb has turned sticky (like varnish) and it has blocked your carb up and petrol isnt getting through, so try these few steps and if it doesnt help then post on this board.

1: buy some carb cleaner, some fresh petrol and a new spark plug

2: drain petrol and dispose of the old petrol

3: remove carb (remember to stuff some tissue into your reed block to save shit getting into your engine) and clean the carb througherly float bowl, jets, pipes, nipples and the needle

4: replace the spark plug (just incase)

5: fit the carb back on the bike

6: fill your petrol tank up with the new petrol

7: kick the bike a few times and hopefully it will start.

    if this was your problem..

    Q. what can i do in the future to stop this happening?
    A. drain the petrol if you think your not going to be using your bike for a few weeks. (it take less then 5minutes to drain your petrol and if you dont and this happens to you it could set you back £20-£30 so it is well worth doing for 5minutes labour..)

i hope this helps you guys. :good:
