hey guys, i have a horizontal minarelli 50cc out of a yamaha zuma which it should be the same motor thats in the malaguti phantom f12 AC and others alike over there across the pond. well, i rode the scoot this morning to my friends house, then went to start it later and it just turns over. I have spark I have fuel to the carb before i tear this thing down....has this happened to yall, if so...what did yall do? just trying to get suggestions
you say theres fuel in the carb, but is it reaching the engine ?? you could have a blocked jet, or its worth checking the reeds are not broken or frayed and are sealing properly
hahaha, thats why i stated that the fuel reached the carb and didnt say antyhing about it reaching the motor. i didnt have time to check the carb or past the carb yet. I was going to do that and check the reeds today to see if they are broken because if the reeds are broken then my motor isnt going to suck fuel with the vacuum pump....i know the pump works and that the fuel is going to the carb because i sucked and blew on my vacuum pump line and fuel would then go through the lines. Im just trying to get ideas before i take the head of the motor off and make sure my rings are good. I dont have a gauge to check compression but from the feeling of the kick starter, it still has some compression. thanks
checked the reeds, they were fine checked the jets, they were clear anything else that i could try before i start dissassembly? i could comepression test, BUT i dont have a tester. also, after i started this thread i saw that it is in the wrong section on the forum...being new to this forum, i wasnt aware that there was a troubleshooting section. so if a mod could move it over....that would be great. thanks guys!!
it runs now.....i have no idea what happened. im going to say it was something in the slow jet that i couldnt see and so when i cleaned the carb, it pushed it out without me knowing
