three things..... 1: i've got a speedfight 100, and was wondering what would be the best performance mods for it that don't cost a bomb. 2: In a sporty in the can theres silencer wool or something to similar effect, if i were to remove this would it have any negative effects to bike performance? or would it just make it louder? 3: can anyone tell me or link me to a website the sells the smoothed up back panels/undertray? thanks people XD
1) setup with rollers and decent pipe. the rest like 120 kit etc are shit 2) will make it run shit and be far too loud
Gear up kit, all speedfights be it 50 or a 100 are grossly under geared, leave the rest of the scoot well alone and just check the transmission parts/varoi/rollers and belt etc are in top condition.
so how greatly u think this would increase performance? Assuming i'm reaching 65mph and getting there at a constant acceleration (0-20 and 40-60 acceleration feels the same)
Sounds like you've already got the best performance your going to get out of a speedy, keep it that way
but surely if its undergeared then this would help... my front wheel lifts wen i pull away on full throttle... i wouldnt mind losing a second off my 0-40/50 if my top speed increases 10mph just say...

Simple ..it will increase your top speed by the percent of the gear-up (give or take things like added wind resistance etc) with some loss of low end accelleration. 20% gear up wil increase speed by 20% not rocket science really. 65mph + 20% = 78mph. Assuming the manufacturers figures are for the over-all increase in final drive ratio of course.
oh i see, i assume this would have an effect on acceleration? and what gearing kit would you recommend? since i have no idea what i'm doing lol
That is not a good trait for a mechanic or someone working on a machine of any sort let alone one that your life might be in jeapordy if you get it wrong, dread to think what would happen if I skim spannered and forgot to tighten a wheel up :wtf:
Speedfight 100 have a shite gear box at the rear wheel. up grade em and it should hit 80 is you have a sport exhaust, correctly jetted. i mean 80mph is the absolute max your gonna get out of it.
