Non runner

I've just bought a scooter and the guy said he thinks it's the engine seals or the reeds. Does anyone suggest which I try first please?

 

reeds as they are the easier part to get too

 

when you check reeds you might aswell give carb and air filter a good clean.

 

Should I just replace the carbon filter reed petals or the full reed valve?

 

if the previous owner knew what was wrong then why didnt he fix it?

assume nothing and chack the basics first

fuel oil
air
spark

...and go from there

 

if you dont have a clue with scooters you shouldnt start this job on your own... get a friend that knows a thing or two to help ya so you dont mess things up... just saying
