   hi all my runner lost spark the other day ive got a haynes manual but it seems a bit unclear on hat readings to expect when testing the coil resistance ?
   
   is there a common compnent that goes in the ignition system

   The coil hardly ever goes. The most common is the wire from the coil to the cdi coming loose.
   
   Otherwise check any fuses, earths, and last would be swapping the stator.
