hey lads have a 08 piaggio NRG 50 fuel injected , lights were working apart from one head light, changed the bulb now i have no lights , checked for loose wire all good, the back one is also gone to which was working before i changed the bulb, the indicators are working the dash lights are working, does anyone know is there a seperate fuse for the lights
Usually there's no relay, only the starter motor relay. Check the connections from the stator up to the clocks, as there are usually a couple of block connectors near the battery area and inside the front fairing that can corrode or work loose. The smaller of these multi-plug connectors is usually the one that provides the feed to the lights and works via a ballast resistor that is behind the front fairing panel (that's where it's fitted on my Peugeot TKR2). The lights are driven by AC current, so there's no rectifier to look for in this circuit. Also check the large multi pole connectors inside the front fairing as these can work loose due to vibration, it's a common problem on these types of scooters. The horn, indicators and brake light etc. work from the battery and are 12v DC powered, so if you have indicators and the horn works, then the fuse is OK.
