    Hi there,

For various reasons i had to chop the handlebar indicator mounts off my Yamaha BW50.

The bike now has no indicators on the front but 2 on the rear and an MOT looming in 2 months or so.

Would it pass the MOT is i removed the rear mots and remove the indcator switch?

^^ This link says it might as they're not required on machines that cannot exceed 30mph.

Ok the bike has a 70 kit but could i get away with it - my tester is pretty decent but worst case i could restrict it again if need be...

I could but they don't look great.

If i can just remove what i have i'd prefer to do that in all honesty.

The bike is only a toy/used sparingly so i'm not too fussed about making it super safe for the odd sunny day when i take it out to go down to the shop.

Oh fair doos,, What about a daytime mot then ? have you looked into them ?

Think you have to have all lights, or literally None. same basics for an Mot, but would imagine youd have to remove every light on the bike

    Yes i have.

I sold my bike motorbike which is being collected tonight - the buyer is an MOT'er (i think) so i'll ask him.

Not really too keen on the daytime MOT though...i mean having no indicators is one thing as if they're not used nobody cares.

Having no lights at all seems a bit silly/asking to be hit?

Asking to be hit as much as having no indicators does tbh lol. Yeah it's either all lights or none though.

After a certain year you have to have indicators fitted, ask the mot man.
