i just took out the carb and blew it out with compressed air. The bike still wont start. I unplugged the petrol lead from carb and there is NO petrol going comming out of lead. I poured petrol in tank jus to make sure and lead stil dry. I even took off the lead and kick started and nothing came out. Dry. I jus had the fuel tap changed so dont think its that. Any other ideas please guys? By the way, i poured fuel in air filter and bike starts for a while and cuts out after a second.

your problem is the fuel pump or a vaccum hose. more than likely the one on the inlet manifold (left of the reedblock) there should be a hose to it. somwhere along that hose is your problem.

i was just kick startin the bike like a madman then i checked the fuel lead and it was full of petrol. The bike still wudnt start (my choke lever is broken. Thats probably why) so i put petrol in air filter then kicked and revved and it started and stayed on. Turned it off, then kicked it normally and it started by itself and idled fine. So i take it for a test ride and in about 2 mins the bike bogged out while i was riding. Checked the fuel lead and its empty but there is fuel in tank! Any more ideas please guys?

    1. no idea on a runner
    2. chances are it's the pump, not the hose

my aerox did the same.. i sorted mine with a new fuel tap (in the bottom of the petrol tank.. they can get gooped up with dirt .. god knows how it got full of crap.. but ohwell..

the fuel runs off a vacum pipe on the carb

(wobbly may have already said this but i only quickly flicked throuh the topic)

    cheers

    ben.

EDIT: most likly as wobbly said.. split/frayed vacumn hose

i just had a new fuel tap on so dont think its that. So u rekon i shud change the vacum lead from carb to fuek tap? Where exactly is fuel tap located and what panels do i need to take off to get to it?

on a runner it has a pump unlike the aerox, there is a diaphragm in a housing, when the vaccum on the left side of the reedblock sucks and blows, this moved the diaphragm and pumps fuel. there could be 2 things stopping this.

    1. a loose or split hose
    2. a fucked diaphragm
