Hi, I wanted to install my Pro Replica on my Sport Pro MKII today but I noticed it came without the flange gasket. Is it normal? Should I install it without the gasket?
No mate you need a gasket, you don't get anything free these days. When I ordered my exhaust I had to buy the gasket seperately.
ive got the stage 6 pro, mine came without a gasket and i couldnt find one that would fit anywhere.. soo i got plyers and bent of the little metal bit that goes around the gasket like the bit on the inside.. took a while and after that the gasket was perfect.. you may be able to find a gasket if not you will have to bodge it..
If your going to fit it I would recommend doing it properly, try searching for wemoto on Internet and give them a ring in the morning and they should sort you out with the right gasket.
yeah true but i gave up bodge it and tbh ive not had a problem with it, checked a few times a re tighted the pipe and its fine and seeling well and this was at least a 1000 miles ago i did this, shame i had a crash 2 days ago and completely bent the exhaust.. the pipe is tight but the end can, can completly spin around but everything is tight?.. any ideas what to do
You have to buy the gaskets seperate. I've got the MKII you need to raise the cylinder quite a lot for it to match the top of the piston to the bottom of the transfer ports. On a different note. Flange is a funny word :L
I'm thinking about a sport pro 2 for my Aerox and was wondering how you've set it up. It looks an awsome bit of kit.
Apparently there is a special flange for piaggio?? How come they don't supply it with the exhaust kit FFS! http://www.ebay.com/itm/FLANGIA-STA...cambi_e_Accessori_Scooter&hash=item3a649d0b34
Now its bolted with the gasket, I just thought it would be better to put it with the "special" flange? :/
No ? As you can see on the ebay link you posted, it has live a rounded end ? When that pushed up against the cylinder it makes a air tight seal, So you don't need a gasket That 'stub' is only needed for stage 6 r1200's and so on.
