Hello, I'm ben and I'm 17 years old, looking to do my CBT pretty soon and hopefully buy a 125cc scooter. I'm a total noob when it comes to twist n go scooters, I've always been more of a car guy. So if anyone could give me some tips about riding, what scooter to choose, good mods to do etc I'd appreciate it, cheers
Nobody? lol, I was just after a bit of guidance. I have no previous riding history or experience, would it be better off sticking to a 50cc rather than a 125cc when I first start? If so, a) What are some good 50cc scooters? and b) What's modifying capability like, as far as performance goes? What can I do? For the record I'd probably be looking to spend around £750 maximum? where are some good places to find cheaper scooters? Cheers
If your a novice, get use to the scooter first mate before even thinking of modding it. Tips and advice for riding are best sought from the likes of the persons you take your CBT with In a budget of £750 a Zip 50cc 2t could be had in decent nick there not the quickest in standard form but good to get use too. also budget for a decent helmet, gloves!! (get bike ones this is the first things to touch the ground when you come off) a decent jacket and pants + a waterproof suit - People may laugh at me saying this but you won't be laughing if you come off at 30 onto tarmac in a pair of shorts and a T-shirt, I was 17 once and wore the wrong gear and see it all the time now when riding, trust me it hurts Also budget for a good disc lock and a heavy duty chain possible a ground anchor too. Enjoy your CBT and safe riding
