Newbie xxx

Hi just to introduce myself i'm LibbyLou from Yorkshire, new to the scootering etc. I haven't got my scooter yet (ordered) will post pics when I get some. Any advice, help, news etc would be greatly welcome !!

 

By the way, if anyone has any good names for my scooter, it's pink and white, i'd like to name it - thanks in advance xxx

Jonways aren't bad little scooters, they had a bad reputation for being poorly built but in recent years they have been really good Mine was great as a first scooter. You can expect abut 40-45mph which is plenty if you're new to the road

Btw, for insurance try Rampdale and Lexhams, they're the cheapest and are happy to cover Chinese scooters such as Jonways. (some insurance companies don't have the correct databases to find registration numbers on Chinese scooters and will give you a huge quote).

Also, get a decent jacket and some gloves to go with your helmet. It's unlikely that you will ever come off, but by having a good jacket and gloves I was much better off in a little mishap.

Other than that, just be safe and have fun on it

 

Thanks FiddyRox, I've already contacted Rampdale who were happy to insure me, cheers - and not too dear either considering it's my first. And thanks for your advice too, but I have already bought myself a nice helmet, jacket (armoured) and gloves.

New to it - Saw the bike in the showroom and thought - I like that - I'm not that sure of makes I don't even drive a car !! lol So ??? the place it's coming from though is trustworthy

Can I just ask a quick question, as you know, i'm very new to all of this, what's the difference between Jonway and Shenke ?

 

I need more experience - haven't got me bike yet lol - once I master Bradford (yeah that's where i'm from urgh) I guess I can master anywhere xx

 

what is shenke exactly?? i searched on google and it showed a variety of chinese bikes...
