Hello I'm Ryan from n. Ireland Im pretty new to scooter tuning I have an aprilia sr 125 2002 I have just rebuilt the engine bottom end bearings and seals ect I have also fitted a malossi 172 kit with malossi reeds and 10.7 malossi Rollers still running standard crank carb and exhaust until next month I'm just looking to know what size of jet I should put in the carb to get it to run correctly Until next month And also how do I know that my oil pump is set proberly and it opens as soon as the Carb starts to lift the slide but when idling how do I know that the oil pump is supplying the right amount of oil The bike is smoking at idle like a normal two stroke and you can clearly smell the 2 stroke burning I know lots of you have probably answered these question in the past but I just don't want to damage my New parts Thanks ryan
No one can tell you what jet size to fit. It doesn't work like that. You buy a box of different size jets and follow the guides to get it setup correctly. There are two lines on the oil pump that are supposed to line up so that is your minimum amount. You will probably want to increase it for the 172 kit.
