new yamaha slider

just bought a yamaha slider for £300 and got it de-restricted its got a standard exhaust on it and everythings standard on the bike then i ride it and my speedo sais im going 62 mph so i thought my speedo was out so i got my brother to drive his car next to mine and he said i was going 62 mph, could i blow the engine because i havent added anything good on the bike.

 

alright mate, there is no chance your doing 62.. no chance in hell!, im finding it hard enuf to do 62.. with gianelli reverse.. 70kit... new reeds, and 21m carb!, so it has to be out! no doubt about it

 

it aint ive drove against 2 of my mates both with digital speedos and both my brothers cars and they all come in the 60's.

 

well to answer your question, u wont blow it, as its standard.. but i really dno how your doing 62.. unless im doing 72.. which i very much doubt lol

 

ill ask my brother to check it out and see if its got a 70 kit on it

just because a speedo is digital doesnt mean it will be more accurate unless it was calibrated recently.

and car speedos are just as unreliable as ped speedos

 

no way are you doin 62, my mate has a yamaha slider 50, i gotta vivacity 70 with sports pipe, carb and filter
my mate came to mine when he bought it and said it did 60+ so i had to see it i went out with him i have a 100cc speedo on my scoot since its more accurate than the 50cc speedo he said he was doin 60 i over took him and my speedo read at just over 50 arc:

i beleive the slider uses the same speedo system and drive mechanism as the rox, the slider wheels are an inch smaller therefore spin faster to do the same speed, the wheel will be spinning faster to hold the same speed, therefore the aerox will read 60 and the slider will read about 65 at the same speed.

then theres error, they all vary, liam's runner is optamistic as are all runner speedos.

its italian, its bound to be innacurate.

 

got a mention , my speedo is about 10-15 mph out.. around.. so yeh! there no chance standar de-res can do 60.. no matter what!

and anyway, no, people dont believe your slider goes 60+, because it doesnt, enough said.

i dont know how anyone can spell it out any clearer, your moped, does not, go over 55, and thats generous.

a derestricted 50 pulling 62mph, im pretty sure it wont do it, if it does then hats off to it, but as far as im concerned it doenst

derestricted rox and derestricted slider? the slider is light and so will probs win, doesnt mean it goes 60 does it

 

lmao everyone knows mine goes like 30mph well the clock says 30mph so probably even slwoer than that. :bird: any ped de restricted can ebat it.

 

oh right yeh i forgot your rox was shited, most speedos are pretty accurate up till around 40-45mph, some arent even accurate up to that but it really depends what you were given in the factory
