    Hi guys,

Really hopeing someone can help me out here.

    I recently bought a 2001 ET2 (50cc).

I gave it a once over, changed spark plug, cleaned carb and filled the gear oil (which was bone dry!!).

I didn't notice any Problems with the bike when cold but I went for a run there and the gear oil is dripping alot out of the crank case, at the lowest bolt. It's about 1 drip every 2 seconds when it's hot so a substantial leak.

I know there shouldnt be gear oil in there so where is it coming from?
I'm resigning myself to having a garage fix it but if I can avoid that at all I would be very glad.

Also the front wheel doesn't spin freely as if the brake is on a bit, how do I "lessen" the front brake?

    Thanks alot guys.

Gear oil could either be coming out of the gear cover due to a bad seal or could be a leak on the drain bolt on the rear of the cases. Bit hard to work out where exactly you are talking about. Both could be an easy fix however.

You can't loosen disk brakes. It could be that the pistons are sticking in the caliper. Best thing is to have a look!
