Bought a 2011 sym citycom on a sixty plate with 8 thousand kilometres on the odometer - quite a bit of corrosion on the fasteners and the levers are bent - otherwise the scooter runs fine - bought two new levers/engine oil/air filter/spark plug all from eBay for £50 - reckon i will have to remove panels to fit the levers - paid £1050 for the scooter which I think was a good deal - I'm a happy bunny

A lovely scooter, it will do anything you want it to do. You will need to look after the exhaust as they rot very quick like most scooter pipes and cost around £300 new!

Thanks Marsh - spent a few hours cleaning the scooter with various agents - pleased to report that the scooter scrubbed up well - it's made in Taiwan so not really built for Scottish inclement weather - it's kept inside so that's a bonus - tomorrow I shall continue with the valet and thereafter I shall dump the engine and gearbox oil and fit the new spark plug and air filter - as previously reported the former owner just rode the scooter and neglected maintenance and keeping it clean - it's covered nominal milage and should fit its purpose for me - an auld cadger who likes to plod along causing general mayhem

they last great sym, built really well, much better than any piaggio crap! looks like a nice scoot, injection too! you will prob have to take the front screen off, then the front handlebar panel to get to the levers.

Aye scuba biker - it's a bummer just to replace levers - suppose thats the price to pay for scootering - so much easier on a motorcycle - got the engine oil and air filter changed today - spark plug and levers not yet delivered - still to do gearbox oil - ps £46 to replace the plastic Exhaust shield - it's slightly damaged and at the moment I ain't paying forty six squid - managed to replace the spark plug by removing a wee side panel
