basically just replaced aload of parts on the engine, and the bike started but then stopped, and now wont start, it sounds like its turning over too fast and has the odd backfire, i read that typh project from runner joe and he was saying his pistonwas scored badly and that made it not start and gave the odd back fire, which is the same syptons as mine, as my piston is scored badly, so guessing its a new piston, just wanted to make sure?

check your reeds/oil seals... if not then yes piston is gone.. the typhoon piston is different size. look at the piston, it will have a code, this code will be in the haynes book/workshop manual with the relevent size piston, if you cant get one then go to a rebore specialist, give them the piston and the size it should be an they will scorce one
