just bought the new pedmoto series 1 performance exhaust for standard engine. have got the polini 70 kit to go on as other things but havn't got all the bits! anyways.... my bike is a piaggio zip 2001 50cc. i need to know what jet to use, ive seen the guide but i want to make sure. i have a 60 in as its standard right?, so ive just bought a 66 for the exhaust and then will buy bigger when i get my other parts. also got the rollers to go in. would you say this is correct!?
you dont always have to upjet when you buy an exhaust, but if you really want to then i would get a 64 and then get a few gram lighter rollers than what you already have and it will be fine
You do have to upjet!! Or you'll be runnin lean! Might seize your top end!! And dont go a 'few gram' lighter, general rule of thumb is 1gr and some cases 1.5gr. Upjet by 10% for exhaust, but all peds are different, so start 5 or 6 jets too high and keep lowering until maximum performance
