Hi peeps, just 15mins ago my new Stage6 Racing MKII cylinder arrived. Much to my surprise, I opened it up and the piston that came is already a BB. Now I'm used to seeing AA, but BB on a new cylinder? Besides, it is scratched, even though the scratches aren't deep enough for me to feel them. The Cylinder itself looks good apart from a superficial scratch. Is this something regular or am I having a wave of bad luck? here are some pics: http://imgur.com/a/TnYJG Thanks in advance
Big Bore maybe? Don't remember mine having anything on tbf though.. The scratches make it easier for oil to cover an stay covering the cylinder. That part is S6 saving you a job . If in doubt send it back. They'll be able to telll you whether it's enough to affect performance and they'll be able to see you haven't used it etc
BB is the quota (or whatever it's called in english, in Portuguese it translates to quota). Like, each letter matches a specific piston diameter, of which A is the lowest, AA is next, B, BB, etc. But you probably know that already. Usually the letters B and above are only used after a hone, that's why I find it odd. Anyway, it's running, and even tho it's still in the break in process, it's good so far
