Ordered a nice new chain and sprocket for the rieju :D ...got a little carried away though was only planning on getting the £30 advertised on ebay. Rang up and they had the original for £45 or a better one for £65. Figured as the bike goes faster than standard I should get the best one.

I've changed chains before, but don't think I've done the sprocket ... easy?

oh and I was thinking, what if the gearing has been set up for the modifications? ....I don't think it has just wondered will I fuck anything up? ....

they are fairly easy to fit mate... thing to do is to check the size of the ones youre takin off, on the engin side:bigger=more top end, smaller=more acceleration...on the wheel the oposite goes (i think thats the way it is anyway...correct me if im wrong

Not sure if yours is fixed this way, but when I've changed front sprockets, I leave the chain in position and get someone to sit on and put the back brake on. That way the chain/brake prevent the front sprocket from turning while you undo the nut. When fitting the new one, do it last for the sme reason.

Rear sprocket is usually held to the hub with 4 bolts. Fairly straightforward to swap sprocks.

    Hope this helps.

i just stick the bike in gear, undo the bolts, then split the chain, drop it into neutral and lift the chain clear.
