just fitted a brand new dellorto 17.5mm carb and started the engine and its revving its boll*cks off without me doing anything and when i do pull the throttle it just keeps revving higher even when i let go ???
Sounds like the throttle cable needs adjusting or is jamming. Also make sure it is fitted properly and the slide is closing all the way. Look into the carb inlrt and get someone to open and close the throttle, you should see the slide rise and fall.
yh it rises and falls mate checked that as soon as fitted the carb , just wonndering would it be anything to do with jets ?
if fitted a manual choke now and it still does it when the choke is open but its just a lever one so no way of changing it once riding, when i try and ride with the choke in the bike doesnt go when i pull the throttle back ??
Okay, so back to basics what year is the bike and what else has been done to it , 50 or 70?, exhaust?, filter? etc.
56 plate and standard now have airbox (without snorkel) and gianelli exhaust think ive sorted it though by adjusting the throttle it just has no power when it pulls off untill exhaust kicks in and then its dead again, hittin maybe 35 at the most
when fitting a sports pipe you ussualy need stiffer clutch springs to aid take off, after that you alsno need diffrent weight rollers, if your bikes hitting 35 now, is it revving high or low? if its not revving out fit lighter rollers,
i dont think its revving really high but the 35 is just a guess as speedo not working at the moment, what clutch springs and rollers would u suggest as i want ok acceleration and best top speed possible.......... i have been given stage 6 glass fibre reeds aswell
