finally got my bike started after it had been stolen (its a ybr 125 2010 model)

the problem i have is that with modern bikes when the stand is down and its in gear,it cuts the engine ,,, but with my bike when you turn the ignition on the neutral light does not come on (even when its in neutral) and when the stand is down the bike wont turn over but lift it up and it starts

i believe its the gear position sensor/ neutral sensor

any 1 have any knowledge on this sort of thing, let me know asap thanks

check the wiring to the neutral switch. its only a spade or ring connection, usually get covered in crap, or may have come off altogether. underneath the gear lever is the usual place.

might be a blown bulb or iffy connection at the bulb end too.

yeah, gear selector/neutral switch is quite a common problem, if I remember right its behind the front sprocket cover, if your chain has popped off before, it could have wiped the switch out

Yeah I've found where it is but will get garage to look at it when I get a new ignition barrel fitted. ( only reason am using a garage to fit is is because if they do it wrong I can complain lol )
