Hi there, not the usual tales of woe... My wee bike has been running well recently… it has a koso speedo and the usual top speed is 54mph on a flat, 46 uphill, all usual... Today however all of a sudden up the same hill, it was doing 49mph uphill and 62mph on the flat… initially i questioned the speedo, but the engine was whining more than usual… i chickened out due to the high rpm noise and wound back a quarter on the throttle… a mile on, i wound back to full throttle, just to see, and the bike started gaining again up to 60mph, then i wound back again... Howcome this bike has just woken up and decided to perform better as nothing has been changed?same parts, same 33:1 premix. I'm worried incase there is an underlying problem that could harm my scooter? What do you guys think as i am concerned, though pleased with this gain? I had hoped that, but why now? haha! I was just putting it down to two-stroke quirks. I'll keep a wee eye on it over the next while. The carb was set up round about this time last year, maybe it's getting ready for the summer! Rowan
Speaking of quirks, alot of the 2t's i've run in the past, operate better , when the weather's a certain temperature. .
Had considered that, its became a really fair day today, good scootering weather. You have put my mind at ease anyhow! was worried incase it was getting air from somewhere! Rowan
