i recently de-restricted my yamaha neos, but it goes to about 45mph BUT at about 30mph its really struggles... it takes about 10 seconds to get from 28-32 but from there it is batter acceleration... up to 45..

i dont know alot about roller weights but someone told me that could be the problem, any ideas?

How long does it take to get from 32 to 45?

not really tested it.. but much quicker,

sometimes if i'm on a slight hill, it wont even make it past 30 and i'll be stuck at 30 until i get some flat ground again.

Could be variator or you could try upjetting it a little mate mine used to struggle abit but i upjetted it with a open air filter seemed to be better at accelerating and climbing hills.

okay cool, i'll look into getting a new main jet, also how much carb adjustment is needed to change from the stock airbox to an open air filter.. i put my air filter on instead of the airbox, but it kept stalling/loosing power, i have no idea what to do cos i'm a noob.

Look what size jet is init and then buy a jet pack so say if its main jet size 50 buy a jet pack from size 50-75 or 80 ish you wont and work your way up in 2's until it runs just right. when i put a open air filter on my nrg 50 it had a 65 main jet in and when i went past 30 mph it bogged down so i tryed 70,75,80,85,90,95 and it still did it and i ended up having a 102 jet in but after that it worked fine :)
