well i just bought some blue neon tubes from halfords to install to thefront grille on my aerox and i set it up likethis neons going to switch via 5 amp cable then from switch to to a 5amp inline fuse then straight to thebattery but some reason theywont turn on? its pussled me a bit because i have wired neons andgrille lights to a car many of times ANY one know what it could be?
earth wire needed to 2nd terminal on neons to create a circuit. Nearly ALL bikes (and cars) now days are a negative earth If you've already done that then check the fuse and wiring for continuity..other than that try a direct wire to the neons and then straight to earth to make sure they work OK. We bought a set and they didnt work from the supplier
yeh i just check them and they dont work bought them seperate too 10 quid each and they both dont work ffs
i have put neons on my all around, 2 under the grill, 2 under the bike and 1 in the mud guard. you need to put red and black to your battery terminals then they should like up. if i was you buy a switch off ebay, like £3 and basicly between the neon transformer box and the battery cut the wire and wire it to the switch. works a dream
yeh mate the neons were faulty but i took 2 blue neon tubes from my pc fitted them in the grill and wired them to a 2 pin switch and to a 5amp fuse straight to the battery but thanks for your advice
