    Hi all,

I recently had a lag on initial acceleration, which i have now fixed by changing the clutch springs. Clutch now kicks in at 4500 rpm and have power from go. However my top speed has now decreased. Initially the scoot would accelerate to 50mph then creep to 60mph, now its 40mph and creep to 50! I'm presuming the transmission needs tuned together, so i was thinking of changing the rollers? I'm a wee bit lost and wondering where to go next with tuning, whether the new clutch springs are alright, and what to expect from what i've got?

Cheers folks, hope you can help :)

    Current setup:
    Yamaha neos 2004
    70cc stage6 streetrace cylinder
    stock carburettor - 72 jet
    stock air box
    yazuni Z exhaust - derestricted
    Stage6 sport pro variator - 5g rollers
stock clutch - stage6 medium torque spring, green malossi springs
    kevlar belt
    oil pump removed, mixing 33:1

I believe, with stiffer clutch springs you need to compensate the variator with slightly heavier rollers. See how 5.5s are with it!
