ive got typhoon with 70cc pm tuning x tech kit. ive read up on the pm tuning website a gear up kit will to stop harmful over revving, which i have noticed the over revving whilst pulling away. i dont understand the difference between the number of teeth on the gears also the difference between primary and secondry gear up kits. someone give me some advice please :)

Primary is the first mesh in the gearbox secondary is the final mesh

People tend to go for primary as you can pick these up pre pressed ready to fit straight in

You can't over rev on pulling away. That's down to the wrong clutch setup. You springs are not the right strength.

the product description says ' It is essential to increase the gear ratios to prevent over reving and reducing reliability of the engine.' when i pull away it screams until the belt gets pushed out into a higher gear. im confused whether its my roller weights (ive got three 3.5g and three 5g) or my contra spring not strong enough/too strong? i also have yellow clutch springs. havent really looked into tuning the transmission properly yet as i need new top end. can you please explain the difference in the number of teeth on the malossi primary gear up kit  thanks

Weaker springs in the clutch, the springs resist centrifugal force that engages the clutch, the weaker the springs the lower engine revs/ centrifugal force required to open the clutch shoes out.
