A few possibilities so it's hard to say. Could be a fuel to piston shortage so lack of fuel, possibly a stuck carb float so runs out of fuel then takes a few minutes to refill the float bowl. Maybe a jet blockage . Could be fuel wetting the plug so too much fuel enters the piston, fires, wets the plug and stops firing. After a few minutes it evaporates and fires again. I would start by running it and as soon as it cuts out take out the plug and see if its wet or dry. Either way my first thing would be carburettor clean, full strip down, blow out the jets with air and try again. Have you an automatic choke? Could be faulty so flooding engine. Remove the choke and attach the wires to a car battery. After a few minutes the needle extends. If it doesn't extend after 6-7 minutes then it's probably faulty. If you still have issues then check the spark plug is firing properly and replace anyway. Try that then let us know if it helps.

At a quick guess i would say sticky float valve...

I agree. Float acts like a toilet ball cock so when enough fuel enters the float chamber the float rises and a small needle blocks the fuel inlet. As fuel is burnt the float lowers and releases more fuel into the chamber. If this is sticking then the chamber either floods and fuel dribbles from the small overflow pipe or it sticks shut and no fuel enters to replace burnt fuel. In this case you may be getting a very slow trickle of fuel through the valve which is enough to fire but then runs out immediately. You may find that having left it overnight the floatbowl fills again and either fixes the problem itself or runs out after ten minutes riding.

Definately sounds like a fuel fault so best to have the carb off and remove all jets and clean them out either with an air gun or get some carb cleaner aerosol from a motor shop. If you are not sure about removing it and stripping it out then get someone to do it.
