Forget the TNT carb, get a proper dellorto one. TNT ones are shit :)

Motorforce kit is ok, but id suggest a sport polini/malossi. Better performance overall. I ll add a variator and new clutch springs (or full clutch set up if money is there) to make the whole thing run better as well.

LC pug engines are quite bad though :p Pretty sure you can get a bracket that allows oyu to put a piaggio engine on those babies :) worth a look

    Exhaust is ok :)

i dont think you can get any carb for your bike if you dont buy another intake as the carb on speedy is held by two bolts that go into your intake.

    perfect set up would be:
    malossi sport 70cc
    malossi variator
some aftermarket intake and a reed block or atleast some better reeds
and delloro 17.5 or 19 mm carb
and leovince tt would work perfect with this set up ;)

not sure about the clutch springs as never changed them my self ran standard and seen no trouble

thanks for the feedback! but ive looked at the motoforce and it says 12hp - 15hp if set up correctly which is around the same as malossi? and mine is air cooled anyways :p &how about the motoforce 17.5mm carb? and can get a adapter kit for the same intake which is only £10, the motoforce bore kit is £102, i already have the exhaust and payed £30 for it...got it cheap ;) soo ive already spent a fair bit so looking not to spend much more aha :p &i was thinking about 6 gram rollers?...as for some reason mine doesnt go anywhere with light weight ones :)

Oh.. AC then it is... well its the vertical pug engine ...

Go for the Polini Corsa then :D 11/12bhp and resistant like no other! :D

..if you go for the motorforce, Id be interested to see a dyno graph once set up ;)

...sry, didnt finish my post above :p

I was saying Id be interested to see a dyno. After looking for it online, it seems that the ports on the cylinder arent really well designed and the performance isnt as god as expected (can link the post in private if needed). that kind of stuff on an alu cylindr usually means less life for the whole engine. :/

Never been a fan of motorforce as they always seem to do just below average to be honest.

I ll def go for the corsa if you are ready to invest a bit more (slightly more pricey but well worth it!) otherwise stick with the malossi sport... you just cant go wrong with that. for daily use, a 9/10bhp that is extremely reliable is way better than a 14bhp one that requires a lot of maintenance.

I used to have a speedake, which uses the same engine as the Speedy 2. You used to be able to find a lot more parts for them, but unlike mina engine they stopped doing them. Pretty limited what you can get nowadays. The peugeot bloc just isnt as good as the minarelli (hence why I was suggesting the bracket mount for the piaggio engine). From experience yuo just dont get as much bhp from the pug bloc than you would with a mina.

The 19mm carb is the way to go (hardly notice a difference against a 21mm and better fuel consumption). And if you play with it a bit you can even keep your standard filter box :) You might also want to consider a For Race Polini exhaust as they are well suited to the corsa cylinder. the version 2 is E-marked and is easily de restricted :)

I am currently using a Yamaha Slider (Just bought it a week ago). Will start a new thread when Im back in a few week as I have lots of parts ready for it. Had to stop my previous MBK Rocket Project (See thread MBK Rocket Made in France in the Project Section) as I am currently in France for a few weeks. Needed the money :p

On top of the Yamaha Slider I have:

    - A non runner zip.. slowly gathering parts for it... looking to make it "one of a kind" as it is definitley my favourite ped of all time. Had one years ago and spectacularly crashed ... against a bus stop! :D
    - A ludix Snake (Dead ignition and transmission).. dont know what I bought that one for.. Just a bargain I couldnt miss on :p
    - An aerox with the crank in pieces. Pretty sure the guy who had it didnt derestrcit it properly and forgot to put half of it back. Crank is actually snapped vario side :/
    - Left overs from my MBK Rocket :p Nearly have the full bike... just missing a standard crank adn I could work some magic!.. no fun in a standard engine though :D Probably will end up being a race project at some point with the rebuilt aerox engine and a modified frame. Wont be using it on the road anyway.

... and I also have a wife that wants me to get rid of it all! :D

I am a quailfied mechanic and have been playing with peds for over 15 years now! :) Not ready to stop yet !

ok malossi it is then :) yeah im only using it for daily use but i want it fast aha because i hate plodding about everywhere at 45 - 50 -.- soo yess malossi 70 bore, 19mm carb... i have an air filter anyway so thats alright and ima get new fuel reeds. soo all sweet! &yeah they sound nice, i like the peugeot ludix's there pretty quick! & hopefully you get the booster rocket fixed soon! & yes i would imagen your wife wants to get rid lol, my missus wants me to get rid of mine because i keep spending money on it :p but yeah....once ive got the parts and fitted them i will let you know how it all goes and how good my bike is :)

if i were you i'd get a stage6 streetrace, much cheaper and in my opinion a better performer. Also i'd definately get an aftermarket variator and i'd go for a dolleroto carb, much better.

Don't think u get a street race pug AC... Not vertical one anyway.

Hi speed polini or multivar is fine but don't ruin the setup with some Chinese garbage ;)

Polini sport and malossi sport are very close though. From my experience malossi parts work well on the pug bloc .

Just for info, top speed is pretty irrelevant as if you were to be full throttle for ages ur ped would very likely blow up!... Unless set up perfectly well.

U better looking at a speed u can comfortably hold on straight roads without having to pick up ur engine afterwards! ;)

Ultimately, if u can be at 50mph and overtake someone comfortably you have a winner! :) don't really need more on a 50cc do you?

ok haha :p and right..ive been on scooter attack and found a stage 6 pro racing 70 bore for £101, a 17.5mm carb for £37 and a stage 6 intake kit with reeds, de ristreicted intake manifold and a few other bits for about £38, i think that sounds like a better set up tbh? :) should i need anything else?....maybe a stage 6 variator and belt?
