well i got a gilera runner loom and extended it perfect for my typh i used solder so everything dne properly then nufin worked i put a dif rec on then i got left indicators and my break light stays on constant thats the only electrics i get i checked fuses they fine all i can think of is relays and as for my throttle cable it was perfect then i put a new 25mm on and it gets sticky throttle constant wen i throttle it always gets stuck my cable is fine my spring seems fine aint got a idea what it could be apart from jet or needle
scrap the wireing loom no need for it use a typhoon one .trust me ,,as for cable are they all new cables are they well oiled up ,,have you put it on right when you put the carb on you just need to check it all out
nah i want gilly clocks and my rad and fan to work and tell me how hot it is i dnah i might try replace it agen but never had a problem b4 then soon as i put the carb on its dne it but the jet was kinda chewed up where sum1 used molegrips to get it on so i rekon it cud be that
the typh loom fits fine, the temp guage wont ever go up untill the water boilds.. everyone with a runer knows this. the fan can be hard wired to a switch ether way... ive just adapted gilly clocks onto a typh loom in half hour. not exactly hard. NOTHING on the gilly loom is in the right place so its MORE work making the rest fit instead of just wiring up the clocks.. you CAN split the typh indi's from a single warning light to a directional warning light for the gilly. the throttle is stiff as youvve used the entire gilly throttle system, you need an nrg throttle to splitter cable as its 2" longer and fits UNDER the frame not above it (floorbopard presses on it) heres an idea.. ditch the useless wc engine, ac's are just as fast with the wc stator/cdi. gilly typh's are a waste of time and a good way of fucking 2 perfectly good bikes there is fuck all point using a gilly loom, end of.. there is FUCK ALL point running a gilly engine in a typh as the water system wont work, wheres your water bottle? sitting in the front pannelk at an angle nowhere neer high enough for the rad. its a rolling bodge job. build an ac typh or a wc runner.. i REALLY dont understand everyones fascination with wc engines. in my experience they blow up more often.
at the end of the day ppl can chat shit all they want but i lik the bike at the end of the day and i'm riding it not any1 else so and that ddnt even answer the question about why my wireing aint working properly as for the throttle cable i'm usin a nrg top and gilly bottom its so loose got loads of slack but still gets sticky throttle
check from bottom half down if you have used the top half or vise-versa. thats if you have used any part of the cable before. and i wonder if there is many a/c runners
if the throttle was fine befor the 25 make sure the pip inside the carb that locates the slide is still square and not all mashed and fucked. it could be pushed in a little from the outside also if its not sitting deep enough in the slide. the loom is a big old mess, but check the wiring on the oil sender, the starter and indicator relay and all the earth points. make sure the radiator/temp sender/fan control temp sensor are all isolated or installed. the fuse box could be at fault also so check the fuses/conn ections in the back. could also be the headlight relay. could be a switch.. could be many many many things. not having a dig, its just better to use a typh loom. everything bar the clocks fit's so theres 9 wires, all in the right place to figure out. rather than moving ALLSORTS about. even if its a wc you can run switches easily for the fan, the temp guage on gillys is just plain useless ether way
listen ,i made a gilly typh ive done what have done using two gilera looms ,im telling you personly i went back to a typhoon loom trust me there perfect size ect ect ,,raditor as stated better to use a manual fan switch easy to wire up takes 2 mins ,im using on on my gilera ,
