I'd put the std airbox on, around a 92 main jet.

Stock carb is probably a dellorto 20.5, same as the 125's.
For more grunt you need a minimum 25mm carb and a sports pipe. But you can keep the standard carb, it still works well enough.
As Marsh says keep the standard airbox.
I've just done an SP125 to a 180 using the standard airbox, standard 125 carb, but a PM360 pipe, jetted to 100.
It goes off it's clocks easily.

you could always move the not so important number plate mount for the more important air box

thats pretty obvious mate I put the numberplate holder on it because I like the look of it but don't like the loud noise of having the pod filter was looking for a compromise any ideas?

There isn't really a lot of other options. Most of the time it's a compromise, open filters of all types make it louder, some people like it, some don't. Unless the customer is adamant they want an open filter fitted, I always try to keep the standard airbox. Sometimes, like on my Katana, there is no other option but to fit an open filter, simply because the conversion wont allow the re-fitting of it.
If it was my bike, i would look at re-instating the standard airbox, although you can change the internal sponge for a more open weave to increase the airflow, and either modify/move or replace the number plate holder. Like i said, it's a compromise sometimes.
