new 50cc scooter is anything from 1300 to 3000 for something "decent" and thatl go 30mph... i dont see the problem spanking 3 or 4 grand on a scoot tbh most people do when they buy a new one and this way works out so much nicer lol
True. But i've had better things to do! Just realised a month has gone past and I haven't done shit. I'll try and get an update done this week if the weather is good enough.
Finished up the holes today and started working on the final rad mount. Sadly no pictures as my gf has my camera so they will have to wait till tomorrow!
starting to take shape looks good are the holes staying like that or are you planning to tart it up with some mesh or something bet your looking forward to first start
They are going to get a bit more of a sand down and a paint up as they are showing up quite a lot as they are bare metal at the moment. I bought some mesh but the holes are so small it seems pointless? The holes are something like 8mm big so you can't really see the mesh through them.
Bait I checked and the holes are actually 6mm! So really no point in fitting any mesh behind them. Update!
to be honest i think its just as you can see the bare metal and theres a lot of light behind it that the holes draw so much attention once painted should look fine also mesh may make it look a bit tacky the more i think about it (even if you could see it) good to see some progress will there be some sort of door to cover the bottle or are you going to attempt sorting something out of fiberglass
The vespa et has two little covers as standard! I am having to modify them to fit as again the mounts are normally under the door that i've fiberglassed shut. The joys of custom builds. Should be another update soon if my bloody paint stops reacting.
Well i've been busy so heres a quick update teaser picture with a proper update coming tomorrow when I have my camera back. Excuse the shitty camera phone picture.
looking verry nice i probably want to see it finished more than you do lol its going to be sex  i reckon a bar conversion would look tidy aswell
