my scooter just completely died and now wont work HELP

Hi

so i got this wee speedfight 100 i was fixing up to run about on, all was well when i got it but the battery was a dud, i jumped it and rode it about the day i got it and it was fine.

so its been in the garage a few months now as i worked on it, but yesterday i got a new battery and put it in the scooter.

then, i started it up. it ran for about 30 secs to a minute maybe with no probelms then just stopped, but not like seizing stopped, just like when you switch it off.

now the immobiliser light doesnt flash when the keys out, the starter button and none of the switches do anything, the lights dont work, its basically dead.

wtf couldve shorted out to do that?


when i started it most of the lights were disconnected from the bike and the back panels were off but the only loose wires were indicator wires so doubt they shorted anything out


im stumped

 

did you put the correct size battery on? cus putting a higher voltage battery could potentially do this? just an idea

 

cheers mate yeah i got the same one as was in it before

 

check all your fuses....then start from your black box and work your way down....voltage regulator and through the wiring....check for voltage at the battery and see how far it goes.
