    alright lads!

got a 50cc generic cracker, my first bike! had it since last december, been riding it since january :).

over the last few months i've had some serious troubles with it! rode it with the exhaust blowing for a month-ish. then got that sorted, then had to have new rings, piston and cylinder, then new kickstart (slipping).. now its running fine, a little slower than it used to be (gone from 43-35 on flat to 40)

but now, i have another problem, im guessing its the choke, but if the bike's left for a couple of hours, wet or dry, hot or cold, it wont start unless push started, not off electric or kick. any thoughts?

also, would be helpful to have somebody else with the same ped, because i think mine is still restricted, and i'm sick of being overtook my my friends, haha!

thanks for any replies lads, hope i make a good impression  haha!

PS: all stock except for technigas exhaust.

    Bill.

The cracker is a chinese 4 stroke 50cc.

IIRC these use a GY6 engine same as the Kymco/Boatian/Direct Bikes etc peds do.

You can get a big bore kit for them but unless you're good with engines you'd want to put it to a garage as it involves messing with a timing chain/tappets etc...way more complicated than what you'd need to do on a 2 stroke.

Think you can get big bore kits in 60, 70 and 80cc sizes if you google the right places.

Even with that though it won't be quick like a 2 stroke will but at least it will still be good on fuel.

    Really?

Has it had an engine swap or did it come like as standard.

Post pics up as i've not seen one of those before.

The cracker has alway's been 2t, if it's doing 40-45mph then i'd say it was derestricted. There is 70cc kit's for them but to be fair it's never going to be a NRG/ Runner beater.

yeah, i cant fork out for a 70 kit, so is there anything else i could do to put on a bit of acceleration/top end speed? :beg: ... unsure of what roller weights to go for?

70's kit really. everything else will just help a little bit, Cheaper to buy a polini sport, something like that.

so putting rollers or anything else wont put on any acceleration or top end speed?

Top end no. A variator kit would help acceleration, But rollers are ment to help the bike be in the right powerband, now help make more top speed or acceleration. The longer a bike sits in it's power band the more speed you have if i'm correct. Not sure. You might aswell buy a 70's kit mate, only way you'll get a real increase in power.

Sounds like rollers and clutch springs to me. Tbh what you'd spend on anything else, you wouldn't see no where near as much as the 70's. Could buy a good variator kit, but i'd save for a 70's tbh.

Never buy cheap imatation kits, they're poorly made and will just wreck your bike, Buy a polini or malossi.

yeah i wouldnt say waste it on a chinese bike. but if u really want to just find out what engine your bike uses. im guessing its a mineralli horizontal air cooled by the looks of it (could be wrong)

once u find out the engine u can order the parts u desire for it
