My On Going Zip Project.

    gutted for you bud i know how that feels it happened to me if you remeber not long back got about 25-30 miles out of a new piston i fitted then just cut out when i took it apart found one of the circlips had failed and ripped the piston and barrel to bits. were did you get the parts from bud ? the place i got mine replaced the piston and sent me a new barrel which is all boxed up as spare cos im running the malossi kit now

    Happened to me before. I always end up turning the circlips a few time in their slots now to ensure they are in place correctly, not like it makes a difference but it does help keep my mind at peace :p

    they was in right, we like checked everything 5 times. Spent more time calculating things than building it :L Got it from pedparts, Ohwell. Life goes on. Racing MKII here I come.

    Dont give up on it! Even though the amount of money youve spent on it you couldve bought an insured a car ;) itll be worth it when you zooom past little 1 litres hha

    Yeah, got it off a friend :p haha, swapped a fresh yasuni r for it, just painted it black, cylinder will be here later today ;) result!!

    not many due to a circlip breaking you'd get around 1000 miles to a piston ring.

    Mate on the stub of the stage 6 rep, they come in to two peices if im right? how did you file the bit off to become flat? if that makes sence? theres two stubs on has the bit sticking out and one dosnt lol did you spot weld it after?

    One on the left is of a Yasuni c16 :) and it's not a rep :p For standard piaggio cylinders the one on the right is perfect. due to it having the oval on the cylinder. performs a better seal. But on my new cylinder that's been removed so going to use c16 stub to make more power :p
