Take it you are running premix on that engine then? Also the specs say that the MKII kit requires 98 octane fuel, will you be using that?

Yes. I've always used premix. Even on a 50cc. Never trusted pumps. They're wank. I'll be running 98 octain yes. I always use the best oils too before you ask that ;)

Well I had it running today, Will post a video shortly. But as it always happens to me, Tried running it up the street and coolant pissed out and ripped the threads off the cylinder!! So I've gone and bought a new zip and going to build off that.

It's just a pwk carb tbh, I've got a vid of it running on tick over, But the threads ripped out the cases from the power lolll so going for hardend studs and a bit of seceret shit going on ;) Will post some pics vids in a bit. And yes it's a beast of a carb !

My threads were looking a bit ragged in my case, so I got them helicoiled and used new studs. Kinda glad really, after reading this. £25 well spent! If you get your current case helicoiled, it will be stronger than standard (Helicoil is stainless steel).

Hope you get it sorted mate.

I used helicoils. They ripped out from the pressure.

Jb weld in a new Helicoil, then jb the studs into the case. Would mean engine out for pretty much all work, but would be strong as fuck

We did that it fucked up lol. I just bought spanking cases so going to build it proper on that. engines spent more time out the bike than in it.

Fair enough. Just don't try and heat treat the threads to make them harder. Cast materials like to shit themselves when heated up/cooled down very quickly.
