right was riding along my mums street doing about 15mph cos of all the close together speed bumps then nothing the engine just cut out the wheel felt like it locked up but not sure then it wouldnt start the revs didnt drop of or slow down or slowly loose power it was just like flicking a light switch of it was instant. now when i go to start it it seems there's no compression and you can hear the engine noise/cranking over noise comming from behind the transmision cover at the front where the variator is and its rather loud now im thinking that the crank seal has blown and ive lost all compression ? its just had a new top end rebuild so that should be fine i havnt had a look at it yet as i was so pissed of at it so ive just locked it up for now any thoughts on what it might be
nah bud can tell straight away it aint a carb issue something has gone and i have no compression and i shouldnt be able to hear it turning over from the tranni cover. take your spark plug out try starting it and the sound you hear is the sound im getting from the tranni cover
u took transmission cover off to have a look? take all variator off and see if seal looks out of shapee or and try taking spark plug out turn engine over with hand over hole is there no compression at all?
nah not took anything of as i was so pissed of i was on my way to work i had to push it home then walk to work so just locked it up and left it at home.i can tell there is no compression as there is nothing comming out the exhaust and the engine noise is comming from the transmission cover
i had this with my zip last week it felt like my back break was on slightly . then my break light and indicators went . i got a new voltage regulator and now its fine
it doesnt rattle or make noises its just lost compression and instead of the cranking noise comming from the exhaust its comming from the tranni cover
Turns out your right bud ive found out whats wrong one of the circlips came out and lodged betwean the barrel and piston making a fucking right mess of the barrel so that why its dead. so guess its a good time to get a 70 kit on it
Bette to spend on a decent thing than buy cheap haha might aswell, what kit you going for? Id get brand new incase you buy a secong hand one which could fuck up easier
malossi cast iron kit but ped parts and adrenaline are sold out and cant find one thats near there prices
ha been looking round the net bud and turns out that naraku arnt all that bad some racing teams use them and looking at mine the piston and rings havnt failed its just the circlip that has failed but ive known that happed on more expensive kits so who knows ? if some teams are using them to rag the fuck out of round tracks and are confident they wont fail during the race then there must be something to them
