Hello all right the other day i brought a runner 172 it has a 25mm carb with a 106 main jet and a mallossi air filter and also a scorp pipe it runs nice fast pull off power wheelie but when i first got it i was reaching about 80-85 and over about 2 weeks the speed has dropped to about 70 anyone got any advice as im sure these shud be faster than what im reaching
have u changed ne thing since u got it give it a service ie.new rollers belt spark plug check for ne air leaks like around the manifold
new problem has now sprung up got a feeling its the gasket but just to make sure ill exp;ain the problem to the forum. The problem started last night after it wouldnt start at my mates after being left for a few hours, So this morning i took the carb apart and cleaned it/ made sure everything was in the normal place. Started fine off the electric start first time and went out for a ride i got about half a mile before i herd a loud pop so i pulled over but it was idleing fine so i carried on but whenever i throttled it just died and popped as it died. anyone have any ideas?
mite be a snapped reed also, mine done exactly the same last week, would idle fine but died on the slightest thottle.
