got given this bike for free, got my mod 2 test this monday so gona use it for my first bike.. what do you guys think? any idea on what to do visually?
I wouldnt change it, tbh, not visually anyway. Maybe a set of Panniers and a rack that you can strap a tent to, so you can go out and explore. Maybe get out and do some green laning on it, and enjoy the great outdoors. When someone gives you an adventure bike, maybe take that as an omen to go out and have adventures. Maybe join the TRF.
trouble with that is theres not much room on the back and im gona be taking my girlfriend on the back, so not sure how well that would work with a rack and panniers, wouldnt mind a bit of an adventure but would preffer to wait untill i get a slightly bigger bike.. yeah may try and find some good lanes, i live right near the south downs, shame you cant ride on them anymore whats the TRF?
Looks nice that, i reckon you should get a proper supermoto front mudguard and headlight, it would look alot newer
yeah just not sure what parts would fit mine, and cant really find a lot for this bike (1993) cheers moondog will deffiantley have a proper look at that site
Theyd be universal bits like acerbis or UFO, they look fucking sick on these! Get a fresh numberplate too, that ones a bit tired haha
yeah dont really like the ufo plastics they look cheap and tacky, might have a look see if acerbis do much.. yeah tbh the whole bikes a little bit tired lol..
That would look well fat with a new paint job n graphics. Let me know if ya want some one to do it I do paint work n vehicle graphic lol. Would remove the hand guards personally n maybe some new blue renthals. Nice tho
dont wana do to much that when i come to sell it, its gona look totally different.. you do graphics for motocross bikes? yeah never liked the red renthals lol got a pair of silver ones lying around see if they fit, they where of a yz125 thought i bent em so got a new pair, turns out id just twisted the yoeks abit !
TTR 250 is one of the most powerful product of yamaha also having light weight. It has amazing racing look and also it's fantastic engine performance wise.
Nice bike, it'll be worth much more if you keep it original, scrub it up and sell it if you really can't stand the 90's purple and white look. Then buy something you do like. Yeah really nice bike that. lucky lad.
right well, took the advice have gone and bought myself a yzf600.. have really enjoyed this bike but wanted something more practical for lots of motorway journeys.. the ttr has just had new chain and sprockets less than 10 miles.. ( cant do any more as im not insured ) just had MOT with no advisories and just had tax.. slight weep out of the rocker cover but haven't changed it as its £40 and its really slightly weeping out of one side and has not gotten any worse. Going to be on autotrader soon brilliant bike can honestly say ive never had a problem with it, if anyone is interested please let me know, cheers guys
