Yup, 9 years ncb on the zed, wouldv'e been more but they wouldn't take into account anything older than two years. I had no bikes at all for 3 years so any previous ncb didn't count. Strangely enough the insurance came DOWN this year..............by 20po_O

Never, ever cancel a policy on a scooter. The admin fees alone are stupid enough that you get nothing back. You can ask them to suspend it, tell them you are having surgery or something that means you wont be able to ride for a while. Then let it run out and get the ncb. Back in 2010 when i had to have my leg done AGAIN, I left my policy running, even though the bike was in bits being totally done. My mate said it was actually quite funny at times watching me scoot around the garage on my mechanics chair, one leg in plaster the other in a hob nail boot.
Had to go back to the hospital every other week for a plaster change due to accidental damage, oil contamination, bits falling off.
The plaster cast that is.....not my leg:)
