My Crash. Legal help.

    Hi, basically a couple of weeks ago, the guy who knocked me off in september after being on the run was cought. but just had a look at the charges....


    driving without due care and attention..

    no driving licence..

    no insurance..


    now im pulling my hair out over this, it was a rental car supposedly. will this affect my compensation claim?

    help is much apreciated thank you.

    it may do, it depends if he has any money. Keep fighting it and you will get something out of it. the fact he has no insurance will make it very difficult to get money out of him though.

    Theres a place you can ring/claim from that deal with uninsured driver accidents/hit and runs....not sure how easy it is or the ins and outs of it all but its worth a look. Basically every single insurance policy pays like a couple or percent into a pot, that people like you who are hit by uninsured drivers can claim from. Im sure someone can explain this much better than me, if iv got the right end of the stick :wtf: .

    If it was a rental car surely you can claim off them. its not your fault they let a unlicensed driver borrow one of there cars :msn1:

    yeah ii think your right lee, i called up my solicitor and he says its the rental companys insurance we are sueing not his actualy insurance, which doesent excist, they think they rented the car under the guys name who was in the passenger seat, who did have a licence,

    if it was rented its insured? to rent a car you need a licence so find out who took the car out and sue them for letting a illigal driver out

    sue everyone m8 sue me if you like no but seriously you deserve every penny you can get m8 realy do some research find out as many ways you can to get the compensation U DESERVE
