Thought I'd put a thread up for my Longjia Run about. I bought it with 6000 K's on the clock (And it has been battered for all 6000!), Although it's a twelve plate so plenty of Tax & MOT. When I got it, it needed a brake light switch, a valve carrier, The exhaust welding and some TLC. Lots of the panels are scratched and battered, and I'm either going to paint these, or Plasti-Dip them. (Dependent on cost) This is it in it's (Pretty Much) Unmolested state, I'm not going to go crazy & put big bore kits on etc, I just want cheap transport till I can get a 125. After test riding it, I found it would not accelerate to more than around 5 MPH. After some investigating, I found it had a cracked Inlet manifold spacer (and two dodgy O-Rings), and a knackered valve carrier. After ordering both items off eBay (Next day delivery is brilliant), and having a quick trip to the local washing machine shop for an O-Ring (As the car shop was shut). It ran rather well After having it running, and riding I decided to clean the carb, to be greeted by an unusual site (for me at least) a clean carb ! After putting it all together, it would Idle but not rev... After some tinkering, I realised I had made a stupid mistake, and not tightened the jet properly and it had rattled itself out. I then decided to tackle the problem of the brake light sticking, after some investigating i found the issue to be the front brake switch, so until i get a replacement, I just disconnected it. I also took this time to repair a broken piece of fairing (Where the mount for the brake light screws into). Having no epoxy, nor superglue, I had to resort to borrowing some acrylic nail glue from the fathers girlfriend ! It seems to have held fine so far, But when it comes to painting time I will reinforce it. As I'm still having some troubles with it pulling away on slight slopes, I'm changing the roller weights, and the clutch springs on Wednesday hopefully. So until then I'll end the post with a photo I took earlier. (I parked next to another scooter in town, With this sticker on. I need to buy one ! )
