Right i know this project is slowly dying but, I had noticed that my exhaust when i first started it the bike would fly and then later on it would start to run slower. Turns out the stage 6 pro replica isn't a really good exhaust for my set up and it has been known to have a inconsistent power band which from personal use I can back up and definitely agree. So i am saving up and buying a Yasuni R fully de-restricted for my bike I also have a secondary gear up kit to shove on it then I will get it all finally dyno tuned so it runs perfectly :D

the only thing that can cause inconsistancey in performance is ether a poor quality can or a poorly desighned pipe. ie, the pipe is "telling" the engine to warm up (yes the pipe has alot of control as to the temperature the engine runs at) hence the longer you ride it the hotter and hotter it gets. this is easily cured mind. if its the can, replace it, if its not the can then shorten the can and if need be weld in a larger diameter stinger (u shaped section at the end of the exhaust)

are you SURE its the pipe and not a cooling issue (worn waterpump/broken thermostat) as its the first ive heard about these pipes (then again, i dont use them, so wouldent have done any research) id say its more likely a cooling/jetting issue causing poor/inconsistant perfoprmance through excess heat

I wouldn't have said it's the pipe, it should be fine. It's almost identical but non road legal twin the Pro cope's fine with a Stage6 racing, peaking at a healthy 12-12500rpm

i saw you on about a gear up kit , ive got one of them in my ped and its a win or lose situation , because top end im lots fast but acceleration im lots slower :( ( 70 polini kit should even me out :) )

Sorry for the delay i didnt see any of these replys!! Well i rung up ped parts as they have been extremely helpful before and they said that the exhaust on 70's doesn't have a consistent power band which i have seemed to experience as said, to get further information i called pedstop and they said they do not stock these pipes anymore as of the poor powerband etc...
I dont know really what im going to do i have been doing spark plug checks regularly and its running fine? Are there any other checks i could do?
Also a little thing i am looking at a 2006 gilera runner tomorrow which if i get will be a further project!!! :D Thanks for all the compliments and responses !!!!!

Wow, that is really nice buddy! How did you fit that headlight surround trim? Because I'm thinking of buying it but I'm really confused as to how you fit it? Adhesive? Tape? Let me know, 'cause it looks lovely!

    -Good job bro, nice bike!

    Thanks alot!
And no to fit it you take the front panel off and then remove the light and then it just slides on over the top and then you screw back in :) Easy as pie ;)
